Sun, 28 September 2008 ![]() Sunday, September 28, 2008 This weekend we start a journey together through the gospel (good news) about Jesus according to Luke. Our desire is to understand the times in Jesus day and to construct a bridge of understanding his teaching in our life and times. Luke is the most comprehensive of the four gospels and gives us details so we can believe in the reliability of the history of Jesus life. Jesus love for people is good news for everyone. We desire not only to believe and to understand, but to respond to him in faith. Comments[0] |
Sun, 21 September 2008 ![]() September 21, 2008 Something is missing between what happens on Sunday mornings and what happens at school, or in the office, or at home on Monday mornings. There's a gap between truth and life-the way you know you should live and the way life really unfolds. So how do you fill the gap? What's the missing part? How do you fill the gap between thinking forgiveness is a good idea and actually forgiving? Between believing God is in control and actually making decisions that reflects that reality? Small groups. On your own, you feel isolated. But doing life together, encouraged by the faith stories of others, fills in the missing part between truth and life. Comments[0] |
Sun, 14 September 2008 Sunday, September 14, 2008Message by: Pastor Ken Harvey All of us have been called by God to accept His son Jesus as our savior. All of us have been given the mission to share the good news with others in our lives. In addition to these we have a unique assignment to serve God where we are with the gifts, talents, and resources that he provides. Have you accepted your assignment? This life is not about you, but about your glorifying God. You were saved to serve God and called to serve God. We are also commanded to serve him. Lets get to work! Comments[0] |
Sun, 7 September 2008 ![]() Sunday, September 7, 2008 Recently at a conference I heard a leader say in regards to the mission of the church, "Vision Leaks". It's important to revisit our purpose, our mission, and our strategy. Why do we do what we do? Is this thing headed somewhere? This weekend we will look at what Jesus said every person needs to experience to enter the kingdom of God. This is what drives us and gives us our passion. This is the most important mission in all the world. Comments[0] |
Sun, 31 August 2008 Sunday August 31, 2008Message By: Pastor Ken Harvey It just doesn't make sense to risk one more day without Jesus. God puts it this way: "Now is the time of God's favor, now is the day of salvation" (1 Corinthians 6:2). If you have never reached out to Jesus and given yourself to Him, please done't wait any longer. Tell Him today. "Jesus, I am Yours. You died for me. I want to belong to you and put all my trust in You." Comments[0] |
