The story of Zacchaeus is by far one of the most interesting stories in the life of Jesus.  In only ten verses we receive a story filled with rich description, one that can’t help but become a short movie within the imagination of all who read it.  But at the same time that the story of Zacchaeus offers us something, it also beckons us to something.  The story of Zacchaeus is not so much about a little man in a tree as it is about our relationship with the despised, discarded, and ignored of our world.  Relationship? Jesus’ point exactly.
